Industrial-Grade Safety

Unlike conventional forklifts, the Huskey C-426 AC is designed to reduce facility traffic and improve visibility and stability. For example, a controlled maximum speed of 10 mph — with Hi-Low speed control that drops to approximately 5 mph — keeps operators in command in congested environments. Four-wheel hydraulic disc brakes with an automatic electric parking brake provide confident, reliable stopping power, while an operator presence switch automatically disables the vehicle when the seat is vacated.

Additional safety features include an emergency stop switch, reverse buzzer and floor-mounted horn. Together, these features ensure the C-426 AC conforms to Type E OSHA 1910.178 and ANSI B56.9 standards, supporting workplace compliance across a wide range of regulated environments.

The Huskey C-426 AC features a fully adjustable suspension seat with folding armrests, a cushioned-grip automotive-style steering wheel and a Hi-Low speed switch for confident maneuvering in tight spaces. The Smart View multi-function dash consolidates battery status, hour meter, speedometer and fault codes into a single, easy-to-read display.

An optional enclosed cab with windshields and metal doors protects operators in outdoor or harsh environments. Further reducing strain, a remote hitch release lever operable from the operator seat eliminates the need to dismount during coupling operations, reducing fatigue and improving throughput.

Power comes from a 17 hp fully enclosed AC motor with a self-diagnostic speed controller, paired with a GT automotive differential featuring a helical gear, oil-bath transaxle for smooth, low-maintenance drivetrain performance. As a result, regenerative braking extends battery range and reduces brake wear, while standard LED headlights, taillights and reverse lights improve visibility and lower operating costs.
